Bridges of Sound: Music from the Baroque to the Classical Style is performed by Libiamo Antiqua Ensemble, a historically informed performance group specializing in 17th- and 18th-century repertoire featuring FIU Wertheim School of Music faculty and alumni.
The ensemble performs exclusively from manuscripts, facsimiles, and critical urtext editions, bringing audiences as close as possible to the music’s original voice. This program follows the stylistic shifts from the early Baroque to the late Baroque, into the Galant style, and toward the early Classical period – spotlighting the composers and idioms that defined each era.
